We've often heard "they just don't build them like they used to", In home building, that can often be a good thing. It's not necessarily that we're against craft of older ways, there is much good to be said about traditional ways. However, the way we design and build a home greatly affects the performance of the building itself.
Materials and techniques are changing rapidly and it's important to keep up. Because a building is a system, a change in one or more components can affect the way other components work.
So what qualifies us to design, build or remodel your Home?
That is why Coastline Building continually keeps updated on the latest in building science, design trends, and quality building practices. We do that first by dedicating a fixed time each week for study. We attend numerous educational seminars every year. We are members of many professional organizations that provide a wealth of information and feedback.
Educating Our Industry
We also return the favor. John has spoken numerous times at conferences and conventions at the local and state level on Green Building. He is currently a Technical Committee member of GreenBuilt Michigan, President of the HBA of Barry County and Secretary for the Michigan Society of the American Institute of Building Design, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Custom Builder Alliance, an NAHB 20 Club.
He has had articles published about him as well as articles authored by him.
We feel continuing our own education and sharing what we know is one of the most important elements on the home building industry.
