DESIGN/BUILD: OUR PROCESS
Design/Build is a process we use to customize your home for you. We don't work off of standard prints or stock plans. We define custom as personalized, designed for the way you live. It also enables us to design the home for the site, allowing it be a truly High Performance Home. After the design and specification process, we can then begin the building portion of your home. An Appointment, A Conversation.
It starts as a conversation. We'll set an appointment with you. Bring your ideas, your likes and dislikes in your current living environment, what you would like in your new space. We'll discuss what you want from your home, explore possibilities. We will discuss budgets, locations. We will listen to what you would like, and answer any questions you may have.
We will then decide which direction to proceed. It's this iterative process that we enjoy, that gets to the heart and soul of your home.

The next appointment will begin the design of your home. It will consumate with a commitment from Coastline Building and you in the form of a Design Agreement. This will enable us to begin the process of designing and specifying the details of your home. Since we only design what we will build, it enables us to start the process of specifying, bidding and estimating your project.
There are thousands of parts and pieces that will go into your home. They will be installed by dozens of the best craftsmen in the area. This is why it is important to know what will go into the home before we start and to design the home to your budget.
